Thus saith the Lord Almighty, saying, This people say, The time is not come to build the house of the Lord.
1:3	ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲧ̀ϫⲓϫ ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ .	Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ϫⲓϫ ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ.	Ouoh ousaji ǹte p̀ċois ṡōpi xen t̀jig ǹangeos pip̀rofytys efgō m̀mos.	And the word of the Lord came by the hand of the prophet Aggaeus, saying,

1:5	ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ϫⲉⲑⲱϣ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ .	Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ϫⲉ ⲑⲱϣ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ. Aretensiti ǹhanmyṡ ouoh aretenṑli èxoun ǹhankouji aretenouōm ouoh evsi an aretensō ouoh evθixi an aretentihi θynou ouoh ǹpetenx̀mom ǹxytou ouoh petθōouti ǹhanvekyouì èxoun afθōouti èouàsouì èssouoten.	Ye have sown much, but brought in little; ye have eaten, and are not satisfied; ye have drunk, and are not satisfied with drink, ye have clothed yourselves, and have not become warm thereby: and he that earns wages has gathered them into a bag full of holes.
1:7	ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ϫⲉⲭⲱ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲓⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ .	Ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ϫⲉ ⲭⲱ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ.	Nai ne nyètefgō m̀mōou ǹje p̀ċois pipantokratōr je kō ǹnetenhyt hi ǹnetenmōit.	Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Consider your ways.
1:8	ⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲱⲣϫ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛϣⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲓⲉ̀ϯⲙⲁϯ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲓⲉ̀ϭⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ .	Ⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲱⲣϫ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛϣⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲓⲉ̀ϯⲙⲁϯ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲓⲉ̀ϭⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ. Go up to the mountain, and cut timber; build the house, and I will take pleasure in it, and be glorified, saith the Lord.

Ye looked for much, and there came little; and it was brought into the house, and I blew it away. Therefore thus saith the Lord Almighty, Because my house is desolate, and ye run everyone into his own house;
1:10	ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲧⲁϩⲛⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϩⲁ ⲧⲉⲥⲓⲱϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏⲉ̀ϣⲁϥⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ .	Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲧⲁϩⲛⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϩⲁ ⲧⲉⲥⲓⲱϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏⲉ̀ϣⲁϥⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ.
