2:5ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲁⲙⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲫ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ .Ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲁⲙⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ.Tinou ǹθok p̀yi ǹiakōb amōini marenmoṡi xen f̀ouōini ǹp̀ċois.And now, O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
2:6ⲁϥⲭⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓ̅ⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲁ ⲧⲟⲩⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ϭⲓϣⲏⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲑⲁ ⲛⲓⲁⲗⲗⲟⲫⲩⲗⲟⲥ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲗⲗⲟⲫⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ .Ⲁϥⲭⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲛ̀ⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲁ ⲧⲟⲩⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ϭⲓϣⲏⲙ ⲛ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲑⲁ ⲛⲓⲁⲗⲗⲟⲫⲩⲗⲟⲥ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲗⲗⲟⲫⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ.Afkō ġar ǹsōf ǹpeflaos p̀yi ǹpisrayl je ouyi a touxōra moh ǹċiṡym ǹf̀ryti ǹṡorp ǹf̀ryti ǹθa niallofilos: ouoh oumyṡ ǹṡyri ǹallofilos avṡōpi nōou.For he has forsaken his people the house of Israel, because their land is filled as at the beginning with divinations, as the land of the Philistines, and many strange children were born to them.
2:7ⲁⲥⲙⲟϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲧⲟⲩⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲧ ϩⲓⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲏⲡⲓ ⲧⲟⲓ ⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲁ̀ϩⲱⲣ:ⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ϩ̀ⲑⲟ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ:ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲏⲡⲓ ⲧⲟⲓ ⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲉⲣⲉϭⲱⲟⲩⲧⲥ .Ⲁⲥⲙⲟϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲧⲟⲩⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲧ ϩⲓⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲏⲡⲓ ⲧⲟⲓ ⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲁ̀ϩⲱⲣ: ⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ϩ̀ⲑⲟ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲏⲡⲓ ⲧⲟⲓ ⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲉⲣⲉϭⲱⲟⲩⲧⲥ.Asmoh ġar ǹje touxōra ǹhat hinoub ouoh m̀mon ypi toi ènouàhōr: a poukahi moh ǹh̀θo nemharma: ouoh m̀mon ypi toi ènouvereċōouts.For their land is filled with silver and gold, and there was no number of their treasures; their land also is filled with horses, and there was no number of chariots.
2:8ⲁ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϩ̀ⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲓϫ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙ̀ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲏⲃ ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟϥ .Ⲁ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϩ̀ⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲓϫ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛ̀ⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲧⲏⲃ ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟϥ.A p̀kahi moh ǹsōf èvol xen nih̀vyouì ǹte noujig avouōṡt ǹfyèta ǹoutyb θamiof.And the land is filled with abominations, even the works of their hands; and they have worshipped the works which their fingers made.
2:9ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲕⲟⲗϫϥ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲫ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁϥⲑⲉⲃⲓⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲫ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲕⲟⲗϫϥ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁϥⲑⲉⲃⲓⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ.Ouoh afkolgf èpesyt ǹje f̀rōmi afθevio ǹje f̀rōmi ouoh ǹnakō nōou èvol.And the mean man bowed down, and the great man was humbled: and I will not pardon them.

L0 witness
The text as its witness or edition has it, original spelling; its dialect is a description and is never standardized.
L0.5 transliteration
For Egyptian texts: the transliteration with the editors' marks turned into the symbols ° * < > _ ^ (ruled 2026-09-10). For papyri: the edition's Leiden marks as the same symbols, and the editors' readings beside the scribe's as ‹scribe→editors› (ruled PAP-3).
L1 Cairene
Standardized Greco-Bohairic spelling and grammar, generated by code from the layer above under the rulings of the project.
L2 Kemetic
The Kemetic alphabet, generated by code from L1.
