42:3ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲓ̀ⲛⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲓⲉⲍⲟⲛⲓⲁⲥ ⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲉⲣⲉⲙⲓⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥⲥ̀ⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲁⲣⲭⲁⲃⲓⲛ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲓ̀ⲛⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲓⲉⲍⲟⲛⲓⲁⲥ ⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲉⲣⲉⲙⲓⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉϥⲥ̀ⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲁⲣⲭⲁⲃⲓⲛ.Ouoh aiìni èvol ǹiezonias p̀ṡyri ǹieremin nem nefs̀nyou nem nefṡyri nem piyi tyrf ǹte arkavin.So I brought forth Jechonias the son of Jeremin the son of Chabasin, and his brethren, and his sons, and all the family of the Archabin;

42:5ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϣⲟϣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲙϩⲁⲛⲁ̀ⲫⲟⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲏⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϯ ⲛ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϣⲟϣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲁ̀ⲫⲟⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲏⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ.Ouoh aiti ǹpoum̀θo ǹouṡoṡou ǹyrp nem hanàfot ouoh pejyi nōou je se yrp.And I set before them a jar of wine, and cups, and I said, Drink ye wine.
42:6ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲓⲱⲛⲁⲇⲁⲃ ⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲣⲏⲭⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲁϥϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ϣⲁⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ .Ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲛⲁⲇⲁⲃ ⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲣⲏⲭⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲁϥϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ.Pegōou nyi je ǹtennase yrp an je iōnadab p̀ṡyri ǹryxab peniōt afhonhen nan efgō m̀mos je ǹnetense yrp ǹθōten nem netenṡyri ṡa èneh.But they said, We will on no account drink wine, for our father Jonadab the son of Rechab commanded us, saying, Ye shall on no account drink wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:

42:8ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲧ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛ̀ⲓⲱⲛⲁⲇⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉⲛϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲉⲛϣⲉⲣⲓ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲧ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛ̀ⲓⲱⲛⲁⲇⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲛϩⲓⲟⲙⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲛϣⲉⲣⲓ.Ouoh ansōtem ǹsa t̀s̀my ǹiōnadab peniōt èṡ̀temse yrp ǹnenèhoou tyrou ànon nem nenhiomi nem nenṡyri nem nenṡeri.And we hearkened to the voice of Jonadab our father, so as to drink no wine all our days, we, and our wives, and our sons, and our daughters;
42:9ⲛⲉⲙⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲕⲉⲧ ⲏⲓ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲓⲁϩⲁ̀ⲗⲟⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩϫ̀ⲣⲟϫ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ .Ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲕⲉⲧ ⲏⲓ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲓⲁϩⲁ̀ⲗⲟⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϫ̀ⲣⲟϫ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ.Nem èṡ̀temket yi eṡōp ǹxytou ouiahàloli nem ouiohi nem oug̀rog ǹte pouṡōpi nan.and so as to build no houses to dwell in: and we have had no vineyard, nor field, nor seed:
42:10ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲥ̀ⲕⲩⲛⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥϩⲉⲛϩⲱⲛⲉⲛ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲓⲱⲛⲁⲇⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ .Ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲥ̀ⲕⲩⲛⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥϩⲉⲛϩⲱⲛⲉⲛ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲛⲁⲇⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ.Alla anṡōpi xen hans̀kiny ouoh ansōtem ouoh anìri kata hōb niven etafhenhōnen èrōou ǹje iōnadab peniōt.but we have dwelt in tents, and have hearkened, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
