15:1γπολαβὼν δὲ Ἐλειφὰς ὁ Θαιμανείτης λέγει
15:2Πότερον σοφὸς ἀπόκρισιν δώσει συνέσεως πνεύματος, καὶ ἐνέπλησεν πόνον γαστρός,
15:3ἐλέγχων ἐν ῥήμασιν οἷς οὐ δεῖ ἐν λόγοις οἷς οὐδεν ὄφελος;
15:4οὐ καὶ σὺ ἀπεποιήσω φόβον, συνετελέσω δὲ ῥήματα τοιαῦτα ἔναντι τοῦ κυρίου;
15:5ἔνοχος εἶ ῥήμασιν στόματός σου, οὐδὲ διέκρινας ῥήματα δυναστῶν·
15:6ἐλέγξαι σε τὸ σὸν στόμα καὶ μὴ ἐγώ, τὰ δέ χείλη σου καταμαρτυρήσουσίν σου.
15:7τί γάρ; μὴ πρῶτος ἀνθρώπων ἐγενήθης; ἤ πρὸ θινῶν ἐπάγης
15:8ἤ σύνταγμα Κυρίου ἀκήκοας εἰς δὲ σὲ ἀφίκετο σοφία;
15:9τί γὰρ οἶδας ὅ οὐκ οἴδαμεν; ἤ τί συνίεις ὅ οὐ καὶ ἡμεῖς;
15:10καί γε πρεσβύτης καί γε παλαιὸς ἐν ἡμῖν, βαρύτερος τοῦ πατρός σου ἡμέραις.
15:11ὀλίγα ὧν ἡμάρτηκας μεμαστίγωσαι, μεγάλως ὑπερβαλλόντως λελάληκας.
15:12τί ἐτόλμησεν ἡ καρδία σου ἤ τί ἐπήνεγκαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου,
15:13ὅτι θυμὸν ἔρρηξας ἔναντι Κυρίου, ἐξήγαγες δὲ ἐκ στόματος ῥήματα τοιαῦτα;

What the layers are

L0 witness
The text as its witness or edition has it, original spelling; its dialect is a description and is never standardized.
L0.5 transliteration
For Egyptian texts: the transliteration with the editors' marks turned into the symbols ° * < > _ ^ (ruled 2026-09-10). For papyri: the edition's Leiden marks as the same symbols, and the editors' readings beside the scribe's as ‹scribe→editors› (ruled PAP-3).
L1 Cairene
Standardized Greco-Bohairic spelling and grammar, generated by code from the layer above under the rulings of the project.
L2 Kemetic
The Kemetic alphabet, generated by code from L1.
English
Quoted translations where they exist, credited; otherwise model drafts, marked as drafts.
