4:7ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϥⲉⲛⲧ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ϣⲱⲣⲡ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲁⲣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓϥⲉⲛⲧⲛ̀ϭⲗⲟⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲱⲟⲩⲓ̀ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϥⲉⲛⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ϣⲱⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲁⲣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓϥⲉⲛⲧⲛ̀ϭⲗⲟⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲱⲟⲩⲓ̀.Ouoh afouahsahni ǹje p̀ċois f̀nouti ǹoufent ǹte f̀nav ǹṡōrp ǹpefrasti ouoh afṡari èpifentǹċlot ouoh afṡōouì.And God commanded a worm the next morning, and it smote the gourd, and it withered away.

4:9ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫϯ ⲛ̀ⲓⲱⲛⲁ ϫⲉⲁⲛ ⲁⲕⲉⲣⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ ϣⲁⲉ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ⲓⲱⲛⲁ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲕⲉⲣⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲉ̀ⲙⲁϣⲱ ϣⲁⲉ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩ.Ouoh peje p̀ċois f̀nouti ǹiōna je an akerm̀kahǹhyt ǹθok èmaṡō ṡaèx̀ryi èf̀mou.And God said to Jonas, Art thou very much grieved for the gourd? 4:10ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲁⲕϯⲁ̀ⲥⲟ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛⲡⲓϥⲉⲛⲧ ⲛ̀ϭⲗⲟⲧ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕϣⲉⲡϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲟⲩϣϥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉ̀ϫⲱⲣϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉ̀ϫⲱⲣϩ .Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲁⲕϯⲁ̀ⲥⲟ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϥⲉⲛⲧ ⲛ̀ϭⲗⲟⲧ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕϣⲉⲡϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲟⲩϣϥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲉ̀ϫⲱⲣϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲉ̀ϫⲱⲣϩ.Ouoh peje p̀ċois je ǹθok aktiàso èjen pifent ǹċlot fai ète m̀pekṡepxisi ègōf ouoh m̀pekṡanouṡf fai etafṡōpi xen ouègōrh ouoh aftako xen ouègōrh.And the Lord said, Thou hadst pity on the gourd, for which thou has not suffered, neither didst thou rear it; which came up before night, and perished before another night:
