22:1Λίθῳ ἠρδαλωμένῳ συνεβλήθη ὀκνηρός. καὶ πᾶς ἐκσυριεῖ ἐπὶ τῇ ἀτιμίᾳ αὐτοῦ.
22:2βολβίτῳ κοπρίων συνεβλήθη ὀκνηρός. πᾶς ὁ ἀναιρούμενος αὐτὸν ἐκτινάξει χεῖρα.
22:3αἰσχύνη πατρὸς ἐν γεννήσει ἀπαιδεύτου, θυγάτηρ δὲ ἐπʼ ἐλαττώσει γίνεται.
22:4θυγάτηρ φρονίμη κληρονομήσει ἄνδρα αὐτῆς, καὶ ἡ καταισχύνουσα εἰς λύπην γεννήσαντος·
22:5πατέρα καὶ ἄνδρα καταισχύνει ἡ θρασεῖα, καὶ ὑπὸ ἀμφοτέρων ἀτιμασθήσεται.
22:6μουσικὰ ἐν πένθει ἄκαιρος διήγησις. μάστιγες καὶ παιδεία ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ σοφίας.
22:7συνκολλῶν ὄστρακον ὁ διδάσκων μαορόν, (8)ἐξεγείρων καθεύδοντα ἐκ βαθέος ὕπνου·
22:8διηγούμενος νυστάζοντι ὁ διηγούμενος μωράῷ. καὶ ἐπὶ συντελείᾳ ἐρεῖ Τί ἐστιν
22:11ἐπὶ νεκρῷ κλαῦσον, ἐξέλιπεν γὰρ φῶς· καὶ ἐπὶ μωρῷ κλαῦσον, ἐξέλιπεν γὰρ σύνεσιν· (11)ἥδιον κλαῦσον ἐπὶ νεκρῷ, ὅτι ἀνεπαύσατο, (12)τοῦ δέ μωροῦ ὑπέρ θάνατον ἡ ζωὴ πονηρά.
22:12¹²πένθος νεκροῦ ἑπτὰ ἡμέραι, μωροῦ δὲ καὶ ἀσεβοῦς πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ.
22:13μετὰ ἄφρονος μὴ πληθύνῃς λόγον, καὶ πρὸς ἀσύνετον μὴ πορεύου· (15)φλύλαξαι ἀπʼ αὐτοῦ, ἴνα μὴ κόπον ἔχης καὶ οὐ μὴ μολυνθῇς ἐν τῷ ἐντιναγμῷ αὐτοῦ· (16)ἔκκλινον ἀπʼ αὐτοῦ καὶ εὑρήσεις ἀνάπαυσιν, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀκηδιάσῃς ἐν τῇ ἀπονοίᾳ αὐτοῦ.
22:14ὑπέρ μόλβον τί βαρυνθήσεται; καὶ τί αὐτῷ ὄνομα ἀλλ᾿ ἦ μωρός
22:15ἄμμον καὶ ἄλα καὶ βῶλον σιδήρου εὔκόπου ὑπενεγκεῖν ἡ ἄνθραωπον ἀσύνετον.
22:16ἱμάντωσις ξυλίνη ἐνδεδεμένη εἰς οἰκοδομὴν ἐν συσσεισμῷ οὐ διαλυθήσεται, οὕτως καρδία ἐστηριγμένη ἐπὶ διανοήματος βουλῆς (20)ἐν καιρῷ οὐ δειλιάσει.
22:17καρδία ἡδρασμένη ἐπὶ διανοίας συνέσεως ὡς κόσμος ψαμμωτὸς τοίχου ξυστοῦ.
22:18χάρακες ἐπὶ μετεάρου κείμενοι κατέναντι ἀνέμου οὐ μὴ ὑπομείναωσιν· ,23) οὕτως καρδία δειλὴ ἐπὶ διανοήματος μωροί κατέναντι παντὸς φόβου οὐ μὴ ὑπομείνῃ.
22:19ὁ νύσσων ὀφθαλμὸν κατάξει δάκρυα, καὶ νύσσων καρδίαν ἐκφαίνει αἴσθησιν.

22:23ςίστιν κτῆσαι ἐν πταωχείᾳ μετὰ τοῦ πλησίον, ἵνα ἐν τοῖς ἀγαθοῖς αὐτοῦ ὁμοῦ πλησθῇς· (29)ἐν καιρῷ θλίψεανς διάμενε αὐτῷ, ἵνα ἐν τῇ κληρονομίᾳ αὐτοῦ συνκληρονομήσῃς.

22:27Τἰς δώσει μοι ἐπὶ στόμα μου φυλακὴν καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν χειλέων μου σφραγῖδα πανοῦργον. ἵνα μὴ πέσω ἀπʼ αὐτῆς, καὶ ἡ γλῶσσά μου ἀπολέσῃ με;
