51:4ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲡϭⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲁϩ ⲙⲡⲁⲕⲱⲧⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟⲕϩⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲱϩⲧⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϣⲁϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲕⲱϯ ⲉⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲟⲩⲣⲟⲕϩⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑ̀ⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙouoh èp̀gōnt ǹouṡah ǹte pakōti em̀peourok·ht èvol xen θ̀myti ǹouk̀rōmFrom the choking of fire on every side, and from the midst of the fire which I kindled not;
51:5ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲡϣⲓⲕ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲛⲁⲙⲛⲧⲉ ⲉⲩⲗⲁⲥ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲥ ⲙⲛⲟⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛϭⲟⲗⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲓⲕ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲙⲉⲛϯ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲗⲁⲥ ⲛ̀ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ϭⲟⲗouoh èp̀ṡik ǹxytf ǹàmenti èoulas ǹakaθartos nem ousaji ǹċolFrom the depth of the belly of hell, from an unclean tongue, and from lying words.
51:6[ⲁ]ⲩⲱ ⲉⲩϩⲓⲗⲁ ⲛⲗⲁⲥ ⲛϫⲓⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲣⲟ ⲁⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲱⲛϩ ϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩ[ⲛ ⲁⲙ]ⲛⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩϩⲓⲗⲁ ⲛ̀ⲗⲁⲥ ⲛ̀ϭⲓⲛϫⲟⲛⲥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲁⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁ ⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲁⲱⲛϧ ϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲙⲛⲧⲉ ⲛ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧouoh evhila ǹlas ǹċingons ǹououro atapsiṡy hōn èxoun ṡa f̀mou ouoh nare paōnx hyn ehoun amnte ǹpesytBy an accusation to the king from an unrighteous tongue my soul drew near even unto death, my life was near to the hell beneath.
51:7ⲁⲩⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛⲥⲁⲥⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲡⲉⲧ[ⲃⲟⲏ]ⲑⲉⲓ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲉⲓϭⲱϣⲧ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϣⲟⲡⲧ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲓϭⲛⲧϥⲁⲩⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲥⲁ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲃⲟⲏⲑⲓⲛ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲓϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϣⲟⲡⲧ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲓϫⲉⲙϥavamahte m̀moi ǹsasa niven ouoh ne nem peterboyθin èroi eigouṡt èθreourōmi ṡopt èrof ouoh m̀peijemfThey compassed me on every side, and there was no man to help me: I looked for the succour of men, but there was none.
51:8ⲁⲓⲣⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲱⲃ ϫⲓⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ ϫⲉⲁⲕⲛⲟⲩϩⲙ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ϣⲁⲕⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓϫ ⲛⲛϫⲁϫⲉⲁⲓⲉⲣⲫ̀ⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲱⲃ ϫⲓⲛⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲕⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲓϫ ⲛ̀ⲛ̀ϫⲁϫⲓaierf̀mevi ǹpekran p̀ċois ouoh pek·hōb jinèneh je aknohem ǹnet·hipomine èrok ouoh ṡaktougoou ǹjig ǹǹgajiThen thought I upon thy mercy, O Lord, and upon thy acts of old, how thou deliverest such as wait for thee, and savest them out of the hands of the enemies.
51:9ⲁϥϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲙⲛⲧϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲉⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩⲁϥϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲙ̀ⲛⲧϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϯϩⲟ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩafċisi ǹtam̀nt·hmhal èvol xen p̀kahi ouoh aitiho ènahmet èf̀mouThen lifted I up my supplications from the earth, and prayed for deliverance from death.
51:10ⲁⲓⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲡⲁϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲕⲁⲁⲧ ϩⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ϩⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛϫⲁⲥⲓϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲙⲛⲃⲟⲏⲑⲓⲁⲁⲓⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ⲡⲁϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲉϣⲧⲉⲙⲭⲁⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧ̀ⲑ̀ⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϭⲁⲥⲓϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲃⲟⲏⲑⲓⲁaiepikalei ǹp̀ċois piōt ǹpaċois eṡtemkat xen ǹèhoou ǹt̀θ̀lipsis xen ousyou ǹċasihyt em̀mon boyθiaI called upon the Lord, the Father of my Lord, that he would not leave me in the days of my trouble, and in the time of the proud, when there was no help.
51:11ϯⲛⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ϩⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲁⲕⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡⲁⲥⲟⲡⲥϯⲛⲁⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲡⲁϯϩⲟtinas̀mou èpekran ǹouoeiṡ niven ouoh tinas̀mou èrok xen ououōnh èvol je ak·sōtem èpatihoI will praise thy name continually, and will sing praises with thanksgiving; and so my prayer was heard:
51:12ⲁⲕⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲉⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲕⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥⲁⲕⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲟⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲕⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲁⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲁⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥaktou goi ġar èvol xen p̀tako ouoh aknahmet èousyou ǹponyron eθve fai tinaouōnh nak èvol tas̀mou èrok ouoh tas̀mou èpekran p̀ċoisFor thou savedst me from destruction, and deliveredst me from the evil time: therefore will I give thanks, and praise thee, and bless they name, O Lord.
51:13ⲉⲧⲓ ⲉⲓⲟ ⲛⲕⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲙⲡⲁϯⲕⲱⲧⲉ ⲁⲓϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲧⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ϩⲁⲑⲏ ⲙⲡⲁϣⲗⲏⲗⲉ̀ⲧⲓ ⲉⲓⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲉⲙ̀ⲡⲁϯⲕⲱϯ ⲁⲓϣⲓⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲧ̀ⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ϧⲁⲧ̀ϩⲏ ⲛ̀ⲡⲁϣ̀ⲗⲏⲗèti eioi ǹkouji em̀patikōti aiṡini ǹsa t̀sofia xat̀·hy ǹpaṡ̀lylWhen I was yet young, or ever I went abroad, I desired wisdom openly in my prayer.
51:14ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ϩⲁⲧⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲥ ϣⲁⲑⲁⲏⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ϧⲁ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϣⲓⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱⲥ ϣⲁ ⲧ̀ϩⲁⲏouoh aitōvh xa θai ǹp̀m̀θo èvol ǹperfei ouoh tinaṡini ǹsōs ṡa t̀·hayI prayed for her before the temple, and will seek her out even to the end.
