1The ONLY description of Akhmimic morphology in the project, and CLAUDE.md §1.1 forbids stating an Akhmimic rule without an opened grammar section to cite. Its Chrestomathie und Wörterbuch carries Akhmimic text. ⚑ THE BOOK IS HANDWRITTEN: an AUTOGRAPH edition — Till's own hand reproduced, the Coptic and the German alike, not type (PDF p. 150 = printed p. 117, §§ 104–105, viewed by A5d 2026-09-24 and again 2026-09-26). The print OCR model cannot read it: A5d's pass (tools/batch_ocr.py, coptic+deu, 380 pages) scored mean word confidence 42.4 and gave unusable text, so it is NOT FILED — its meta.json was renamed L0/ocr/Incoming/achmmischkoptisc0000till/meta.superseded.json, which neither ocr_editions() (L0/ocr/*/*/meta.json) nor staged_ocr() (…/Incoming/<stem>/meta.json) reads. ROUTED TO A6 (Coptic handwriting / HTR); until then this stub and the page images are the only form of the book here, and a grammar section cited from it must be read on the page image.

What the layers are

L0 witness
The text as its witness or edition has it, original spelling; its dialect is a description and is never standardized.
L0.5 transliteration
For Egyptian texts: the transliteration with the editors' marks turned into the symbols ° * < > _ ^ (ruled 2026-09-10). For papyri: the edition's Leiden marks as the same symbols, and the editors' readings beside the scribe's as ‹scribe→editors› (ruled PAP-3).
L1 Cairene
Standardized Greco-Bohairic spelling and grammar, generated by code from the layer above under the rulings of the project.
L2 Kemetic
The Kemetic alphabet, generated by code from L1.
English
Quoted translations where they exist, credited; otherwise model drafts, marked as drafts.
