41:6ⲉⲓⲥ ⲕⲉⲥⲁϣϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲙⲥ ⲁⲩⲣⲱⲧ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲟⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲩⲟ ⲛϫⲛⲧⲏⲩⲓⲥ ⲕⲉϣⲁϣϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲙⲥ ⲁⲩⲣⲱⲧ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲟⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϣⲁⲛⲑⲏⲟⲩis keṡaṡf ḋe ǹhyms avrōt menensōou evhoome evoi ǹṡanθyouAnd, behold, seven ears thin and blasted with the wind, grew up after them.

41:9ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲡⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲧϩ ⲙⲛⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉϯⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲟⲩⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ̀ⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲧϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲫ̀ⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛ̀ⲫⲟⲟⲩafsaji ḋe ǹje p̀refouōt·h nem faraṑ efgō m̀mos je tiìri ǹf̀mevi ǹpanovi ǹfoouAnd the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharao, saying, I this day remember my fault:
41:10ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϭⲥ ⲉⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ϩⲙⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲛ ⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲙⲛⲡⲁⲙⲣⲉⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϭⲥ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫⲛ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲕⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲧ̀ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡ̀ⲁⲙⲣⲉfaraṑ afnouċs ènefvōk afnogn èp̀ṡ̀teko xen p̀yi m̀pet̀·hijen p̀ṡ̀teko anok nem p̀amrePharao was angry with his servants, and put us in prison in the house of the captain of the guard, both me and the chief baker.
41:11ⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ϩⲛϯⲟⲩϣⲏ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲧⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲓⲟⲩϣⲏ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲧⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓannav ḋe èourasoui p̀ouai p̀ouai xen taiouṡy ǹouōt anok nemaf annav p̀ouai p̀ouai kata tefrasouiAnd we had a dream both in one night, I and he; we saw, each according to his dream.
41:12ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩϩⲣϣⲓⲣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲛ ⲛϩⲃⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉⲡϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲭⲓⲙⲁⲅⲓⲣⲟⲥ ⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲛⲛⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲣϣⲓⲣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ϩⲃⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲃⲱⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̀ⲡⲁⲣⲭⲓⲙⲁⲅⲓⲣⲟⲥ ⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲛneouon ouhrṡire ḋe m̀mav neman ǹhvraios èf̀vōk pe ǹparṡimagiros angoou èrof afvolou èronAnd there was there with us a young man, a Hebrew servant of the captain of the guard; and we related to him , and he interpreted to us.
41:13ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲧⲁϩⲟⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲧ ⲉϫⲛⲧⲁⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲡⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲁϣⲧϥⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲛ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉⲩⲧⲁϩⲟⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲁϣϥasṡōpi kata f̀ryti etafvolou èron θai te f̀ryti etasṡōpi m̀mon anok èθrevtahoi èratt èjen taarṡy fy ḋe ǹtouaṡfAnd it came to pass, as he interpreted them to us, so also it happened, both that I was restored to my office, and that he was hanged.
41:14ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁϥϩⲱⲱⲕⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲁϥϣⲓⲃⲉ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱⲁ ϥ̀ϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲁϥⲓ̀ⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲕⲟ ⲁϥϧⲱⲕ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲁ̀ⲫⲉ ⲁϥϣⲓⲃⲉ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲓ̀ ϣⲁ ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀a f̀goou ḋe ǹje faraṑ afmouti èiōsyf afìni m̀mof èvol xen p̀ṡ̀teko afxōk ǹtefàfe afṡive ǹnefhoite afì ṡa faraṑAnd Pharao having sent, called Joseph; and they brought him out from the prison, and shaved him, and changed his dress, and he came to Pharao.
41:15ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ ⲛⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ϫⲉⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲛϭⲓⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲟⲗⲥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧⲕ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲁⲕⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉϩⲛⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲁⲕⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩⲡⲉϫⲉϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀ ⲛ̀ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ϥϣⲟⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲟⲗⲥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧⲕ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓ ⲁⲕⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩpejef ḋe ǹje faraṑ ǹiōsyf je ainav èourasoui ouoh ǹfṡop an ǹje petnavols anok ḋe aisōtem eθvytk evgō m̀mos je ak·sōtem èhanrasoui akvolouAnd Pharao said to Joseph, I have seen a vision, and there is no one to interpret it; but I have heard say concerning thee that thou didst hear dreams and interpret them.
41:16ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ ϫⲉⲁϫⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁϣϫⲱ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲙⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛ̀ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀ ϫⲉ ⲁϫⲙ ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣϫⲱ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀aferouō ḋe ǹje iōsyf pegaf ǹfaraṑ je agm f̀nouti ǹsenaṡgō an ǹp̀ougai ǹfaraṑAnd Joseph answered Pharao and said, Without God an answer of safety shall not be given to Pharao.
41:17ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ ⲙⲛⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛⲧⲁⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲓⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲉϫⲙⲡⲉⲥⲡⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲓⲉⲣⲟⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲣⲁⲱ̀ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲓ ⲉⲓⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲥⲡⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲟafsaji ǹje faraṑ nem iōsyf efgō m̀mos je hrai xen tarasoui isje nainav èroi eiaherat èjen p̀·spotou ǹpieroAnd Pharao spoke to Joseph, saying, In my dream methought I stood by the bank of the river;

L0 witness
The text as its witness or edition has it, original spelling; its dialect is a description and is never standardized.
L0.5 transliteration
For Egyptian texts: the transliteration with the editors' marks turned into the symbols ° * < > _ ^ (ruled 2026-09-10). For papyri: the edition's Leiden marks as the same symbols, and the editors' readings beside the scribe's as ‹scribe→editors› (ruled PAP-3).
L1 Cairene
Standardized Greco-Bohairic spelling and grammar, generated by code from the layer above under the rulings of the project.
L2 Kemetic
The Kemetic alphabet, generated by code from L1.
