18:8ϣⲁⲣⲉⲑⲟⲧⲉ ⲣⲱϩⲧ ⲙⲡⲣⲉϥϫⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛϭⲁⲃϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲁϩⲕⲟϣⲁⲣⲉⲧϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲣⲱϩⲧ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲣⲉϥϫⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ⲛ̀ϭⲁⲃϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲁϩⲕⲟṡaret·hote rōht ǹp̀refgnav ǹpsiṡy ḋe ǹǹċavhyt nahkoFear casts down the slothful; and the souls of the effeminate shall hunger.

18:12ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲓⲥⲉ ϩⲁⲑⲏ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϣⲁϥⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟ ϩⲁⲑⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩⲡ̀ϩⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϭⲓⲥⲓ ϧⲁⲧ̀ϩⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲟⲩⲱϣϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟ ϧⲁⲧ̀ϩⲏ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲱⲟⲩp̀hyt ǹp̀rōmi ċisi xat̀·hy m̀peouōṡf ouoh ṡafθvvio xat̀·hy ǹp̀ōouBefore ruin a man's heart is exalted, and before honour it is humble.
18:13ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲁⲑⲏⲧ ⲛⲁϥ ⲧⲉ ⲙⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲧⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲁϥ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϫⲛⲉϫpetnasaji em̀patefsōtem oumetat·hyt naf te nem ounognegWhoso answers a word before he hears a cause, it is folly and reproach to him.
18:14ϣⲁⲣⲉⲟⲩϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲧⲁⲗϭⲉⲟⲩϭⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϣϥⲓ ϩⲁⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϣⲏⲙϣⲁⲣⲉⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲧⲁⲗϭⲉⲟⲩϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϣϥⲁⲓ ϧⲁ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ϣⲏⲙṡareouvōk ǹsave talċeougōnt ǹte ourōmi niven ḋe petnaṡfai xa ourōmi ǹhyt ṡymA wise servant calms a man's anger; but who can endure a faint-hearted man?

18:16ϣⲁⲣⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϣⲥϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ϣⲁⲩⲥⲩⲛϩⲩⲥⲧⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲛⲟϭϣⲁⲣⲉⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϣⲥϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲩⲥⲩⲛϩⲩⲥⲧⲁ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲛⲓϣϯṡareǹtaio ǹp̀rōmi ouoṡsf èvol ouoh ṡavsinhista m̀mof ǹhanniṡtiA man's gift enlarges him, and seats him among princes.

18:18ϣⲁⲣⲉⲟⲩⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲁⲗϭⲉϩⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϩⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ϣⲁϥⲡⲱϣ ϩⲛⲛⲛⲟϭϣⲁⲣⲉⲟⲩⲕ̀ⲗⲏⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲁⲗϭⲉϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱϩⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲫⲱϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓϣϯṡareouk̀lyros talċehanouōhm ouoh ṡaffōṡ xen ǹniṡtiA silent man quells strifes, and determines between great powers.
