8:3	ⲁⲣⲭⲏⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲭⲁϥ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲙϣⲟⲩϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲉⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲉⲛϥ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ . Therefore it is necessary that this high priest also have something to offer.

For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law;

8:6	ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ϯⲙⲁϯ ⲉⲟⲩⲫⲁϣⲛⲓ ⲉⲥⲥⲟⲧⲡ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲟⲓ ⲙⲙⲉⲥⲓⲧⲏ ⲥⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲉⲥⲥⲟⲧⲡ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲉⲙⲛⲏ ⲧⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϫⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲱϣ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲡ . 8:7	ⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉϯϩⲟⲩⲓϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲓ ⲛⲁⲧⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲁⲕⲱϯ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲫⲙⲁ ⲛϯⲙⲁϩⲃϯ .	Ⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉ ϯϩⲟⲩⲓϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲧⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲁⲕⲱϯ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲫ̀ⲙⲁ ⲛ̀ϯⲙⲁϩⲃϯ. 8:8	ⲉϥϫⲉⲙ ⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲁⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲏⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ϯⲛⲁϫⲱⲕ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲗ ⲛⲉⲙⲉϫⲉⲛⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲙⲃⲉⲣⲓ .	Ⲉϥϫⲉⲙ ⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ϩⲁⲛⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲏⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ϯⲛⲁϫⲱⲕ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡⲓⲥⲗ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲛ̀ⲃⲉⲣⲓ.
