23:1ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲓ ⲛ̄ⲧϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ ⲏ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉϥϭⲱⲗ︤ⲡ︥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲏϣ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧA man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
23:2ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲃ︤ϩ︥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥϣⲁⲁⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥHe that is fractured or mutilated in his private parts shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.
23:3ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲙ︥ⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥOne born of a harlot shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.
23:4ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲁⲙⲙⲁⲛⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲱⲁⲃⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϣⲁⲧⲙⲉϩⲙ︤ⲛ︦ⲧ︥ⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲛ̄ⲅⲉⲛⲉⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩThe Ammanite and Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even until the tenth generation he shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even for ever:
23:5ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲙ̄ⲡⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧ︤ⲛ︥ ⲙ︤ⲛ︥ϩⲉⲛⲟⲉⲓⲕ ⲙ︤ⲛ︥ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧ︤ⲛ︥ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲕⲏⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉⲁⲩⲑ︤ⲛ︥ⲛⲉ ⲃⲁⲗⲁϩⲁⲙ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̄ⲃⲉⲱⲣ ⲡⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲧⲙⲉⲥⲟⲡⲟⲧⲁⲙⲓⲁ ⲛ̄ⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲥϩⲟⲩⲱⲣ︤ⲕ︥because they met you not with bread and water by the way, when ye went out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Mesopotamia to curse thee.
23:6ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̄ⲡ︤ϥ︥ⲣ̄ϩⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̄ϭⲓⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲥⲱⲧ︤ⲙ︥ ⲛ̄ⲥⲁⲃⲁⲗⲁϩⲁⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲕⲧⲉⲛ̄ⲥⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲉⲛⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ︤ⲕ︥But the Lord thy God would not hearken to Balaam; and the Lord thy God changed the curses into blessings, because the Lord thy God loved thee.
23:7ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕϫⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̄ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛ̄ⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲓⲕⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛ̄ⲛⲟϥⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩThou shalt not speak peaceably or profitably to them all thy days for ever.
23:8ⲟⲩⲓⲇⲟⲩⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕⲃⲟⲧ︤ϥ︥ ϫⲉⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲣ︤ⲙ︦ⲛ︥ⲕⲏⲙⲉ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕⲃⲟⲟⲧ︤ϥ︥ ϫⲉⲁⲕⲣ̄ⲣ︤ⲙ︦ⲛ︥ϭⲟⲓⲗⲉ ϩ︤ⲙ︥ⲡⲉϥⲕⲁϩThou shalt not abhor an Edomite, because he is thy brother; thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, because thou wast a stranger in his land.
23:9ϩⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛϫⲡⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲧⲙⲉϩϣⲟⲙⲧⲉ ⲛ̄ⲅⲉⲛⲉⲁ ⲉⲩⲉⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥIf sons be born to them, in the third generation they shall enter into the assembly of the Lord.
23:10ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲣ︤ⲛ︥ ⲛⲉⲕϫⲓϫⲉⲉⲩ ⲉⲙⲓϣⲉ ⲛ︤ⲙ︥ⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲕⲉϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲉϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙ̄ⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛAnd if thou shouldest go forth to engage with thine enemies, then thou shalt keep thee from every wicked thing.
23:11ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ︤ⲙ︥ⲙⲁⲕ ⲉⲛ︤ϥ︥ⲧ︤ⲃ︥ⲃⲏⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϥϫⲱϩ︤ⲙ︥ ⲛ̄ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲉϥⲉϭⲱ ⲙ̄ⲡⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̄ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲉⲙⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲛ︤ϥ︥ⲧ︤ⲙ︥ⲣ̄ⲡⲉⲥϩⲟⲩⲛIf there should be in thee a man who is not clean by reason of his issue by night, then he shall go forth out of the camp, and he shall not enter into the camp.
23:12ⲁⲩⲱ ϩ︤ⲙ︥ⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̄ⲣⲟⲩϩⲉ ⲉϥⲉϫⲉⲕ︤ⲙ︥ⲡⲉϥⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛ̄ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲣⲏ ⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲱⲧ︤ⲡ︥ ⲉϥⲉⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲡⲁⲣⲉⲙⲃⲟⲗⲏAnd it shall come to pass toward evening he shall wash his body with water, and when the sun has gone down, he shall go into the camp.
23:13ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲙⲁ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲡⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̄ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲉⲙⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲕⲉⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙ̄ⲙⲁⲩAnd thou shalt have a place outside of the camp, and thou shalt go out thither,
23:14ⲛ̄ⲧⲉⲟⲩϣⲙⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲓϫ︤ⲛ︥ⲧⲉⲕⲛⲥⲱⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲙⲏⲣ ⲙ̄ⲙⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲕⲉϣⲓⲕⲉ ⲛ̄ϩⲏⲧ︤ⲥ︥ ⲛ︤ⲅ︥ⲡⲛⲅⲕⲁϩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ︤ⲅ︥ϩⲱⲃ︤ⲥ︥ ⲛ̄ⲧⲉⲕⲁⲥⲭⲏⲙⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̄ϩⲏⲧ︤ⲥ︥and thou shalt have a trowel on thy girdle; and it shall come to pass when thou wouldest relieve thyself abroad, that thou shalt dig with it, and shalt bring back the earth and cover thy nuisance.
23:15ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲥⲉⲓⲛⲉ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲧⲉⲕⲡⲁⲣⲉⲙⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲕϫⲁϫⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧ︤ⲕ︥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲕⲡⲁⲣⲉⲙⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲛ̄ⲥⲉⲧ︤ⲙ︥ϭ︤ⲛ︥ϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲛⲉϭⲱϥ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̄ϩⲏⲧ︤ⲕ︥ ⲛ︤ϥ︥ⲕⲧⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̄ⲙⲟⲕBecause the Lord thy God walks in thy camp to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemy before thy face; and thy camp shall be holy, and there shall not appear in thee a disgraceful thing, and so he shall turn away from thee.
23:16ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕϯ ⲛ̄ⲟⲩϩ︤ⲙ︥ϩⲁⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧ︤ϥ︥ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲁⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϭⲁⲗⲱⲱϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲕThou shalt not deliver a servant to his master, who coming from his master attaches himself to thee.
23:17ⲉϥⲉⲟⲩⲱϩ ⲛ︤ⲙ︥ⲙⲁⲕ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧ︤ⲛ︥ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲣ̄ⲁⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲟⲕϩ︤ϥ︥He shall dwell with thee, he shall dwell among you where he shall please; thou shalt not afflict him.
23:18ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲛ̄ϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲡⲟⲣⲛⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲛ̄ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲛ̄ϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲉⲥϯⲧⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲏ ⲉⲥϫⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲛ̄ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲉⲩϯⲧⲉⲗⲟⲥThere shall not be a harlot of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be a fornicator of the sons of Israel; there shall not be an idolatress of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be an initiated person of the sons of Israel.
23:19ⲧϩⲛⲟ ⲙ̄ⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲛ̄ⲟⲩϩⲟⲣ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲏⲓ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲣⲏⲧ ϫⲉϩⲉⲛⲃⲟⲧⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲉThou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot, nor the price of a dog into the house of the Lord thy God, for any vow; because even both are an abomination to the Lord thy God.
23:20ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲧⲉⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲥⲉ ⲛ̄ϩⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛ̄ⲃⲣⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲥⲉ ⲛ̄ϩⲛⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲕⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲙⲏⲥⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛThou shalt not lend to thy brother on usury of silver, or usury of meat, or usury of any thing which thou mayest lend out.
23:21ⲡϣ︤ⲙ︥ⲙⲟ ⲉⲕⲉⲧⲧⲉϥⲙⲏⲥⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕⲧⲧⲟϥ ϫⲉⲉϥⲉⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛ̄ϭⲓⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲛⲉⲕϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲓϫ︤ⲛ︥ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲕⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲉⲓ ⲙ̄ⲙⲟϥThou mayest lend on usury to a stranger, but to thy brother thou shalt not lend on usury; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all thy works upon the land, into which thou art entering to inherit it.
23:22ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̄ⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕⲱⲥ︤ⲕ︥ ⲉⲧⲁⲁϥ ϫⲉϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲟⲩϩⲟⲧϩ︤ⲧ︥ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲁϩⲉⲧϩ︤ⲧ︥ⲛⲉⲕϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲓϫⲱⲕAnd if thou wilt vow a vow to the Lord thy God, thou shalt not delay to pay it; for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee, and otherwise it shall be sin in thee.
23:23ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲧⲙⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲙ︤ⲛ︥ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲓϫⲱⲕBut if thou shouldest be unwilling to vow, it is not sin in thee.
23:24ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲛⲉⲕⲥⲡⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲕⲁⲁⲩ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲕⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲕⲧⲁⲩⲟϥ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲧⲉⲕⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟThou shalt observe the words that proceed from between thy lips; and as thou hast vowed a gift to the Lord God, so shalt thou do that which thou hast spoken with thy mouth.
23:25ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲓⲱϩⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱⲕ ⲉⲕⲉϭ︤ⲛ︦ϭ︥ϩ︤ⲙ︥ⲥ ⲛ̄ⲛⲉⲕϭⲓϫ ⲛ︤ⲅ︥ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲛ︤ⲅ︥ⲧ︤ⲙ︥ϫⲓⲟϩ︤ⲥ︥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲓⲱϩⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱⲕAnd if thou shouldest go into the corn field of thy neighbour, then thou mayest gather the ears with thy hands; but thou shalt not put the sickle to thy neighbour's corn.
