13:2ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩϥ ⲛⲥⲁⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲛϩⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲃⲁⲧ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲣⲉⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲁϩⲱϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙⲡⲉϥⲛⲟⲃⲉAnd he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked after the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who led Israel to sin; he departed not from them.
13:3ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϭⲥ ϩⲛⲟⲩϭⲱⲛⲧ ⲉⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲏⲗ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲛⲁⲣⲁⲇ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲏⲗ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩAnd the Lord was very angry with Israel, and delivered them into the hand of Azael king of Syria, and into the hand of the son of Ader son of Azael, all their days.
13:4ⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲉⲃϩⲡϩⲟ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉϫⲉⲁϥⲑⲗⲓⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁAnd Joachaz besought the Lord, and the Lord hearkened to him, for he saw the affliction of Israel, because the king of Syria afflicted them.
13:5ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁϥϯ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲗⲟ ⲉⲩϩⲁⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲁⲩⲥⲙⲛⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲛⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲥⲁϥ ⲙⲛϣⲙⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩAnd the Lord gave deliverance to Israel, and they escaped from under the hand of Syria: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as heretofore.
13:6ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲁϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲏⲓ ⲛϩⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲣⲉⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲕⲉⲙⲁ ⲛϣⲏⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲙⲛⲧϥ ϩⲛⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁOnly they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who led Israel to sin: they walked in themmoreover the grove also remained in Samaria.
13:7ϫⲉⲙⲡⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲛⲓⲱⲁⲭⲁⲍ ⲛⲥⲁⲧⲁⲓⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲓⲡⲡⲉⲩⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲏⲧ ⲛϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲧⲃⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲍⲟⲥ ⲏ ⲣⲙⲛⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲁϥⲧⲁⲕⲉⲡⲉⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛϭⲓⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲕⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁϩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩϩⲱⲙ ϩⲓϫⲱⲟⲩWhereas there was not left any army to Joachaz, except fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand infantry: for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and they made them as dust for trampling.
13:8ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲱⲁⲭⲁⲍ ⲙⲛⲛⲕⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲩ ⲙⲛⲛⲉϥϭⲉϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲥⲉⲥϩⲏⲩⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡϫⲱⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥And the rest of the acts of Joachaz, and all that he did, and his mighty acts are not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
13:9ⲁⲩⲱ ⲓⲱⲁⲭⲁⲍ ⲁϥⲛⲕⲟⲧⲕ ⲙⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲧⲟⲙⲥϥ ϩⲁϩⲧⲏ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲛⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁϥⲣⲣⲣⲟ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲁAnd Joachaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria: and Joas his son reigned in his stead.
13:10ϩⲛⲧⲙⲉϩⲙⲁⲁⲃ ⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ ⲛⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲁϥⲣⲣⲣⲟ ⲛϭⲓⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲱⲁⲭⲁⲍ ⲉϫⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ϩⲛⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲁⲥⲉ ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉIn the thirty-seventh year of Joas king of Juda, Joas the son of Joachaz began to reign over Israel in Samaria sixteen years.
13:11ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲁϩⲱϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲛϩⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲣⲉⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩAnd he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord; he departed not from all the sin of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who led Israel to sin: he walked in it.
13:12ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲙⲛⲛⲕⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉϥϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲥ ⲙⲛⲁⲙⲉⲥⲥⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲙⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲥⲉⲥϩⲏⲩⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡϫⲱⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥And the rest of the acts of Joas, and all that he did, and his mighty acts which he performed together with Amessias king of Juda, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
13:13ⲁⲩⲱ ⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲁϥⲛⲧⲟⲧⲕ ⲙⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲣⲣⲣⲟ ϩⲓϫⲙⲡⲉϥⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ϩⲛⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲁⲩⲧⲟⲙⲥϥ ϩⲛⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲙⲛⲛⲉⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥And Joas slept with his fathers, and Jeroboam sat upon his throne, and he was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
13:14ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁϥϣⲱⲛⲉ ϩⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲱⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲡⲁϩⲧϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲁϥⲣⲓⲙⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲁⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲁⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲡϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϩⲓⲡⲡⲉⲩⲥNow Elisaie was sick of his sickness, whereof he died: and Joas king of Israel went down to him, and wept over his face, and said, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horseman thereof!
13:15ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉϫⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲓⲧⲉ ⲙⲛϩⲉⲛⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲓⲧⲉ ⲙⲛϩⲉⲛⲥⲟⲧⲉAnd Elisaie said to him, Take bow and arrows. And he took to himself a bow and arrows.
13:16ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲟ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲉϩⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ ⲉϫⲛⲧⲉⲓⲡⲓⲧⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲉϫⲛⲧⲡⲓⲧⲉ ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲉϫⲛⲧϭⲓϫ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥAnd he said to the king, Put thy hand on the bow. And Joas put his hand upon it: and Elisaie put his hands upon the king's hands.
13:17ϫⲉⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲉⲧϩⲓⲡⲥⲁ ⲛⲉⲓⲃⲧ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲉϫⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲁϥⲛⲉϫⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲡⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲡⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ϥⲛⲁⲉⲓ ⲉϫⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲕⲛⲁⲡⲁⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ϭⲉ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ϩⲛⲁⲫⲉⲕ ϣⲁⲃⲟⲗAnd he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. And Elisaie said, Shoot. And he shot. And Elisaie said, The arrow of the Lord's deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria; and thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphec until thou have consumed them.
13:18ⲡⲉϫⲉⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉϫⲓ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ϫⲉϫⲱⲗⲕ ⲛⲅⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲁϥϫⲱⲗⲕ ⲁϥⲛⲉϫⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲛϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲁϥϩⲱ ⲉⲣⲟϥAnd Elisaie said to him, Take bow and arrows. And he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And the king smote three times, and stayed.
13:19ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉⲉⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲕⲛⲉϫⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲁϯⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲏ ⲥⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲕⲛⲁⲡⲁⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ϣⲁⲛⲧⲥⲱϫⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲕⲛⲁⲡⲁⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲛϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲥⲟⲡAnd the man of God was grieved at him, and said, If thou hadst smitten five or six times, then thou shouldest have smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed them; but now thou shalt smite Syria only thrice.
13:20ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲧⲟⲙⲥϥ ϩⲉⲛⲙⲟⲛⲟⲍⲱⲛⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲙⲱⲁⲃ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ ϫⲱⲕAnd Elisaie died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites came into the land, at the beginning of the year.
13:21ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲧⲱⲙⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲩϯϩⲧⲏⲩ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲛⲟⲍⲱⲛⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲧⲁⲫⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱϩ ⲉⲛⲕⲉⲉⲥ ⲛⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲱⲛϩ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥAnd it came to pass as they were burying a man, that behold, they saw a band of men, and they cast the man into the grave of Elisaie: and as soon as he touched the bones of Elisaie, he revived and stood up on his feet.
13:22ⲁⲍⲁⲏⲗ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲑⲗⲓⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲓ︤ⲏ︦ⲗ︥ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲱⲁⲭⲁⲍAnd Azael greatly afflicted Israel all the days of Joachaz.
13:23ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲉϩⲧⲏϥ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϭⲱϣⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲧⲉϥⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲥⲙⲛⲧⲥ ⲙⲛⲁⲃⲣⲁϩⲁⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲛⲓⲥⲁⲁⲕ ⲙⲛⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲙⲡⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲣϩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣϩⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲛⲟϫⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲡⲉϥϩⲟAnd the Lord had mercy and compassion upon them, and had respect to them because of his covenant with Abraam, and Isaac, and Jacob; and the Lord would not destroy them, and did not cast them out from his presence.
