And Esaias the prophet the son of Amos came to him, and said to him, Thus saith the Lord, Give orders concerning thy house: for thou shalt die, and not live.
38:2ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲉⲍⲉⲕⲓⲁⲥ ⲕⲧⲟ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲉⲧϫⲟ ⲁϥϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲉⲍⲉⲕⲓⲁⲥ ⲕⲧⲟ ⲛ̀ⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲉ̀ⲧ̀ϫⲟ ⲁϥϣ̀ⲗⲏⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥouoh a ezekias kto ǹpefho èt̀go afṡ̀lyl ehrai èp̀ċoisAnd Ezekias turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,

And Ezekias wept bitterly.
38:4ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϣⲁⲏⲥⲁⲓ̈ⲁⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̄ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲡ̀ⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϣⲁ ⲏⲥⲁⲓⲁⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉouoh a p̀·saji ǹp̀ċois ṡōpi ṡa ysaias efgō m̀mos jeAnd the word of the Lord came to Esaias, saying, Go, and say to Ezekias,

38:6ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓ̈ⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧ︤ⲙ︥ⲡⲣ̄ⲣⲟ ⲛ̄ⲛ̄ⲁⲥⲥⲩⲣⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲣ̄ⲛⲁϣⲧⲉ ⲛ̄ⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲕ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲥⲥⲩⲣⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲣ̀ⲛⲁϣⲧⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲓ̀ⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥouoh ainahmek èvol hiten p̀ouro ǹnassirios ouoh tinar̀naṡte ǹtaìpolisAnd I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of the Assyrians: and I will defend this city.
38:7ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙ̄ⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧ︤ⲙ︥ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̄ⲡⲉⲓ̈ϣⲁϫⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛ̀ⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲁⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲡⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓfai ḋe naṡōpi nak ǹmyini èvol hiten p̀ċois je f̀nouti naìri ǹpaisajiAnd this shall be a sign to thee from the Lord, that God will do this thing;

38:10ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓ̈ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϩ︤ⲙ︥ⲡϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲛ̄ⲛⲁϩⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲉⲓ̈ⲛⲁⲕⲱ ⲙ̄ⲡⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲛ̄ⲛⲁⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ ϩ︤ⲛ︥ⲙ̄ⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲛ̄ⲁⲙ︤ⲛ︥ⲧⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲥⲉⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛ̀ⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲙⲉⲛϯanok aigos xen p̀ċisi ǹnaèhoou je einakō ǹp̀·sepi ǹnarompi xen ǹpily ǹàmentiI said in the end of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I shall part with the remainder of my years.
38:11ⲁⲓ̈ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛ̄ϯⲛⲁⲥⲟⲧ︤ⲧ︥ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ⲙ̄ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲓϫ︤ⲙ︥ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲛ̄ϯⲛⲁⲥⲟⲧ︤ⲧ︥ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ϯⲛⲁⲥⲟⲧ̀ⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ϯⲛⲁⲥⲟⲧ̀ⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓaigos je ǹtinasot̀t an enav èp̀ougai ǹf̀nouti hijen p̀kahi ǹtinasot̀t an enav èrōmiI said, I shall no more at all see the salvation of God in the land of the living: I shall no more at all see the salvation of Israel on the earth: I shall no more at all see man.
