4:4ⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲩϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲩϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥnai on evtisvō nai evgō m̀moswho spoke and instructed me, saying, Let our speech be fixed in thine heart, keep our commandments, forget them not:

4:9ϫⲉⲉϥⲉϯ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲗⲟⲙ ⲛϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉϫⲛⲧⲉⲕⲁⲡⲉ ⲛϥⲣⲛⲁϣⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ϩⲛⲟⲩⲕⲗⲟⲙ ⲛⲧⲣⲩⲫⲏϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲭ̀ⲗⲟⲙ ⲛ̀ϩ̀ⲙⲟⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲁ̀ⲫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲣⲛⲁϣⲧⲉ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲭ̀ⲗⲟⲙ ⲛ̀ⲧⲣⲩⲫⲏje efèti ǹouk̀lom ǹh̀mot èjen tekàfe ǹtefrnaṡte èrok xen ouk̀lom ǹtrifythat it may give unto thy head a crown of graces, and may cover thee with a crown of delight.
4:10ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲅϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉϩⲁϩ ⲛϩⲓⲏ ⲛⲱⲛϩ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲕⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲕϣⲱⲡ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲉ̀ⲣⲉϩⲁϩ ⲛ̀ⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲱⲛϧ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲕsōtem paṡyri ǹtekṡōp èrok ǹnasaji hina èrehah ǹmōit ǹōnx ṡōpi nakHear, my son, and receive my words; and the years of thy life shall be increased, that the resources of thy life may be many.
4:11ⲉⲓϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲧⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲉⲓⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛⲉ̀ⲓϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉ̀ⲛ̀ⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧ̀ⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲉⲓⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛèitisvō ġar nak èǹmōit ǹt̀sofia eitalo ḋe m̀mok ehrai èjen hanmōit evsoutōnFor I teach thee the ways of wisdom; and I cause thee to go in right paths.
4:12ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉⲕϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲧⲁⲙ ⲉⲣⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲡⲱⲧ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲡⲱⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲛⲁϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲕϣⲁⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛⲁϣⲑⲁⲙ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲕϣⲁⲛⲫⲱⲧ ⲁⲕϣⲁⲛⲫⲱⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲕ̀ⲛⲁϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲁⲛakṡanmoṡi ġar nekmōit naṡθam èrōk an akṡanfōt akṡanfōt ḋe k̀naxisi anFor when thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not be distressed.
4:13ⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲥⲃⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲕⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲁϩⲉⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲥⲃⲱ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲭⲁⲥ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱⲕ ⲁ̀ⲣⲉϩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲁϩⲓamahte ǹtasvō m̀perkas ǹsōk àreh èros nak èpekahiTake hold of my instruction; let it not go, but keep it for thyself for thy life.
4:14ⲙⲡⲣⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲓⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲛⲣⲉϥⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲙⲟϣⲓ ϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲛ̀ⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓm̀permoṡi hi ǹmōit ǹǹrefernoviGo not in the ways of the ungodly, neither covet the ways of transgressors.
4:15ⲙⲡⲣⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲣⲁⲕⲧⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲅϣⲃⲧⲕⲕ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲃⲱⲕ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩϩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲣⲁⲕⲧⲕ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲕϣⲃⲧⲕⲕ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩm̀pervōk èxoun nemaou èp̀ma etousoouh èrof raktk èvol ǹtekṡvtkk èrōouIn whatever place they shall pitch their camp, go not thither; but turn from them, and pass away.
4:16ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲱⲃϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲣⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲡϩⲓⲛⲏⲃ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲟⲩⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲉⲩⲱⲃϣⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲃϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲟⲩⲉⲣⲡⲉⲧϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲁ ⲡ̀ϩⲓⲛⲏⲃ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲱⲃϣǹnouōvṡ ġar em̀peouerpet·hoou a p̀hinyb ġar ouei m̀mōou ouoh mpavōvṡFor they cannot sleep, unless they have done evil: their sleep is taken away, and they rest not.

4:19ϩⲉⲛⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉⲉⲩϫⲓϫⲣⲟⲡ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉϩⲁⲛⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲛ̀ⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁ̀ⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲓϫⲣⲟⲡ ⲛ̀ⲁϣ ⲛ̀ⲣⲏϯhankake ḋe ne ǹmōit ǹnàsebys ouoh ǹsesōoun an je evjigrop ǹaṡ ǹrytiBut the ways of the ungodly are dark; they know not how they stumble.
4:20ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ϯϩⲧⲏⲕ ⲉⲡⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲣⲉⲕⲧⲡⲉⲕⲙⲁⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲁϫⲡⲓⲟⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ϯϩⲧⲏⲕ ⲉ̀ⲡⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲣⲉⲕⲧⲡⲉⲕⲙⲁⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁϫⲡⲓⲟpaṡyri tihtyk èpasaji rektpekmaaje ḋe ènagpioMy son, attend to my speech; and apply thine ear to my words:
4:21ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲉⲛⲉⲕⲡⲏⲅⲏ ⲱϫⲛ ϩⲁⲣⲉϩⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲙⲉⲕϩⲏⲧϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲕⲡⲏⲅⲏ ⲱϫⲛ ⲁ̀ⲣⲉϩⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲙⲉⲕ ϩⲏⲧhina ǹnenekpygy ōgn àrehnai hmek hytthat thy fountains may not fail thee; keep them in thine heart.
4:22ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϭⲟⲗϫ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧϭⲟⲗϫ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̀ⲡ̀ⲥⲱⲙⲁouōnx ġar pe ǹnetċolg m̀mōou ouoh outalċo pe ǹp̀·sōmaFor they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
4:23ϩⲛϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ϩⲉⲛϩⲓⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛⲛⲁⲓϧⲉⲛ ⲁ̀ⲣⲉϩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲁ̀ⲣⲉϩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲓxen àreh niven àreh èpek·hyt hanmōit ġar ǹōnx ne nèvol xen naiKeep thine heart with the utmost care; for out of these are the issues of life.
